I don't often write reviews, but I was so disappointed with this hotel that I felt like I should warn others. The bedrooms (and we had two because the first was so bad) are awful. The carpet in our Japanese style room was stained and smelled awful. Since we were sleeping on futon right next to it, I knew I needed to move rooms, but we were told we couldn't move until the next night. We were also told that even though we were moving to a much cheaper room, we couldn't get a refund or any compensation. The second room was western style and only slightly better. It still smelled bad. The carpet was still stained and threadbare. The room and furniture was tired and dated and looked like it hadn't been updated since the 1970s. The beds were comfortable though. The onsen was extensive, although still in poor repair. I would recommend that people stay elsewhere and visit the onsen as day guests. This hotel was so disappointing for the price and a low point of our trip.

It's definitely a decent place, but considering the price, I don't think it's worth it. The rooms and hot spring facilities are both quite outdated. While the dinner buffet had a lot of options, there wasn't much that actually tasted good, and breakfast was much the same. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly.

Everything about our stay was excellent. The service was great, rooms were roomy and clean, food was delicious, and the public bath experience was more than we could have asked for. We also enjoyed the area around the resort.
