The Barnsdale hotel is in a lovely and convenient setting with ample parking.
The Sydnet spa is great and the pool was wonderful for an afternoon cool down. Plus super cute Highland cows!
Breakfast and dinner is wonderful in the beautiful courtyard.
The Barnsdale is an old building which means the lack of air conditioning was a challenge during the heatwave.
The power shower remains a mystery why anyone thought this was a good choice to install!

We had a fantastic stay at The Barnsdale, such a beautiful, relaxing and picturesque venue. We enjoyed use of the spa, which is beautifully done, small and intimate. Evening meal in the Brasserie was delicious with fabulous service and breakfast was just as delicious, with lots of choice and was well organised.
All staff were very polite and helpful, especially the lovely lady on reception. The welcome glass of wine on arrival was such a lovely touch.
Only disappointment was that the king size bed was in fact two single mattresses pushed together, also the window wouldn’t open and so the room was quite warm. All that said, the room was clean, cosy and so beautifully decorated
Overall though, our stay was so beautiful, and so so relaxing! Thanks so much for having us
