Booked in for 3 nights only stayed 2. The cottage needs a deep clean desperately. The shower was absolutely filthy, the grouting was black and mouldy at the back of the taps was grimy. The shower head was grotty There were cobwebs on the beam in the bathroom Sofa had crumbs down the side and needed a good clean The radiator in the bedroom was full of dust - it has not been cleaned for years The blinds were dusty, cobweb on the mirror and skirting boards dusty Kitchen was clean Outside is grotty the passage way is horrid and the steps and court yard grubby Complained on day 1 and the communication was good he arranged for sofa to be cleaned and pillow protectors to be added as the pillows were grubby with hair on them however it was still well below standard and we decided to leave the property I have suggested the management company do a visit to the property

The appt is in a good location a short walk from the marina. Whilst the stay was generally ok we found the bed extremely uncomfortable and the cleanliness

The place was clean, tidy and modern. I have very few complaints about the actual apartment. The bed was comfy, clean towels were provided and the whole apartment was nice. Unfortunately, the window in the bedroom would not open and in the warm temperature, made the room hot and humid and the nights quite uncomfortable. I used a reasonable amount of force to try and get the window open but I did not want to force it too much and get blamed for breaking anything. Communication beforehand was limited and I had to contact them to get the check in details. I contacted them the day before check in and I got a reply saying the details would be emailed to me 7 days prior to arrival. I then replied reiterating that I was literally due to check in tomorrow and then I got a reply saying that I would receive the details a few days prior to arrival. I believe these may have been automatic replies so it would have been nice to have contact with a human. The only other complaint I have is that they asked for a non-refundable damage waiver which was not stated anywhere in the listing. I don’t mind paying this but I feel it should either be apparent and clear in the property description or be included in the cost of the stay. This is the first time a hotel/apartment has tried hiding this cost when booking through Hotels.com. Don’t try and add another £20 on to the trip unexpectedly. I would happily stay here again now I know what to expect with price and communication.
