Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ann Arbor - University South by IHG

We checked in for the night because we, like so many others, had lost power due to the storms. upon our check in that evening, the gentleman working the front desk was congeal, helpful and truly pleasant. He got us checked in quickly and directed us too the best location to park for our room. Once we got settled, we found the tv to be not working. A call down to the front desk had this gentleman up to our room in under five minutes to fix the problem (someone had moved the cables on the back of the set, which he immediately recognized and repaired). He told us that he had worked at the hotel for three years and he seemed to really enjoy his job. Folks with these people skills are hard to find. My daughter joined us later in the eveni9ng, and one of your staff walked her up and let her in instead of disturbing us. Again, great service. We were surprised to find that there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The room steamed up badly and toilet smells did not vent away. Also, the breakfast could have used some help. Undercooked potatoes, cold sausage patties and eggs. Keeping these items at proper temperatures is critical for food safety. There is obviously a staff member who oversees the food prep who might need more training. I give your location a thumbs up. These minor items would not keep me from recommending this location or using it again.

Great free soap, coffee, breakfast , staff, and the rooms are pretty damn good as well. Holiday Inn is now my new favorite hotel chain..

It was great stay. Especially, the front desk, Mr. Chris, was very kind.

The front desk staff was amazing and friendly. Whenever I needed something they were there when I needed to have additional rooms reserved the next day they did it within minutes and had all the rooms organized from my guests. I can't wait to come back to this hotel next year for our annual trip to the big house.
