The room was clean and pleasant to stay in.

My room was very clean. The bed was very soft and comfortable. The gentleman working at the front desk was able to move me from the second floor to the first floor, because sometimes I sleep walk.

The hotel is definitely aged/old property. The entry breakfast area was very small and aged. It was clean. The room looked somewhat modernized, beds were comfortable. The bathroom was decent but old and battered. Lots of patching up on things. We were on the side of property facing the Hwy. It was noisy. The windows were old and thin. The actual breakfast of cereals, bagels, bread and waffles was very basic. Don’t drink the coffee. AC was fine.
Was it the 8 plus rating it got ? NO. I would have spent 10 more dollars for a better hotel had I known this rating was hyped. Not the worst place for a night, but not worth the $$.
