10/10 for our experience!

The hotel was modern yet gave a zen feeling due to the decor and amenities. Our room was spacious, had a balcony, a sauna and a fuzzy bathtub which were very helpful after a tiring day walking around. Staff was super nice and knowledgeable of the area. Will definitely come back next time in Kyoto.

Our room was spacious and clean. Free coffee and tea in the lobby. Friendly staff. However, if I had to make a suggestion would be to completely get rid of the smoking room in the lobby. It’s right next to the laundry room and elevator. It’s unavoidable to smell it in the hallway as space is limited.
Free laundry room was nice - one tip would be to wash clothes in the machine then transfer it to the dryer. The drying function in those combo washers never worked well.

Very impressed with Gion Elite Terrace! From the moment we were greeted by the staff, to the size of the rooms, the bathroom (with sauna and rainfall shower) , the hotel cleanliness, and overall access to everything in Kyoto. Free Tea and coffee downstairs in the lobby made it nice on the way in and out throughout the day. Hotel has shared umbrellas for the guest to use- which was a big perk since we were there at the tail end of the rainy season. 7-Eleven and Lawsons right around the corner made it super easy for any last minute treats. Can't recommend it enough and will definitely be coming back.
