Eliassen Rorbuer is set in an exceptionally beautiful location, with stunning views across the fjord and convenient access to the main attractions throughout the Lofoten region. Our room was clean and comfortable, and waking up to the scenery each morning and enjoying it again in the evening was a real highlight.
That said, the bedrooms were very small, and for the premium price, at least a queen-size bed should be standard. The property also feels somewhat tired overall and would benefit from renovation. The advertised saunas were unavailable during our stay, so we used the excellent facilities at the neighbouring hotel instead, which also offered easy access for a cold-water plunge.
The onsite restaurant was satisfactory, although we found better dining options elsewhere. The hotel promotes its environmental initiatives, but with only eight EV chargers available, we had to travel elsewhere each day to charge our car.
Overall, the location is outstanding, but the accommodation and facilities need investment to fully justify the price.
