Dollinger's Motor Inn

This is probably the only option in town. We appreciated the clean room, the convenience of getting there on our bicycles, and the friendly staff who let us check in early. Plus they gave us a great dinner recommendation for fresh, delicious and authentic Mexican food!

Dollinger's should be charging $40 more per night. That about says it all, but I will elaborate: The room was very very clean, did NOT smell. The employee in the evening and the employee in the morning were trained very well and did a great job interacting with us. There is plenty of parking. They provide bags of ice instead of using a noisy moldy ice machine. Dollinger's does not provide breakfast, but the money we saved on the room cost compared to other hotels, more than covered breakfast at Risen Cafe in Albion. It's a much better breakfast quality than a hotel breakfast. There is a Topps Super Market literally next door to the Inn if you want an extra inexpensive breakfast or are staying for a few days or need to stock up for the rest of your trip. No place is perfect so I'll mention the one thing that we found that can be improved: the water pressure is amazingly stronger than strong (room 115), but it may be draining the hot water faster than needed by the time 10am rolls around. The pressure could be cut in half and STILL be higher than it is in 95% of US households. This would take just a $30 per room replacement of the shower heads. My guess is there would be a 40% reduction in the water and water heating bills. No one would even notice if this was done. We have moved Dollinger's Motor Inn to the top of our list of hotels when we visit family in the area. Keep up the great work!!!

Clean, comfortable room for a reasonable rate. I would stay there again.

We have stayed here before and have never had a problem. It may be an older motel but it is very clean, beds are comfy and staff is very friendly. Will definitely be staying there again when we are back in the area visiting family.
