-The location is located in the heart of Exarchia- reading through the review section, please do your research since the area is not for everyone- and is not a tourist destination per se. In our case we intentionally wanted to stay there, it is our usual area of choice when we go back to Greece, and it was easy to move around to all places which we wanted to visit. Exarchia is full of bars, so one shouldn't complain about noise - knowing this in advance. If anyone is a light sleeper, take ear plugs, otherwise it was just fine - it is not that loud at night. The metro is a 10 min. walk from the apartment, and there is a small supermarket right next door which is convenient- although the area is full of small mini-markets which are open until late. -The apartment was very clean (we are neat freaks, and it was up to our standard), and had all basic amenities for a short stay. There is a small balcony where the living room is, and the rooms have roll down shutters- providing great escape from light for those that have such preference. It is spacious for two people, and maybe even +1 if they would like to sleep on the couch- although I wouldn't recommend this for a super comfortable stay.

-The bed has a hard mattress this is not for everyone again, although for us it was just fine for two nights. Wouldn't have wanted it for more than 3 nights though. -The lock box is opposite the building entrance, although this is mentioned in the guidance message sent in advance, I would recommend sending a picture too because it is not easily visible to the eye. -There is a neighbor which shouts their lungs out in the early morning- might wake one up, but not the hosts fault of course. It usually went on for 30 minutes and then they would stop (family dispute). -There was a mishap in communication the last night- morning with the host. If there is a need to communicate and get a swift response, I would suggest using booking message, since the whatsapp channel responds quickly certain hours throughout the day. Check out is at 10.00 sharp- do keep this in mind when booking. We had a slight delay of 15 minutes checking out, because we were not sure where to leave one of our luggage- due to a flight change and the host not responding to let us know if they could assist us with the bag. We figured things out in the end, and everyone was polite about it- this is just a minor issue to mention since we didn't know how to go about our morning and we were told to use booking message for a faster response in the end.

It takes a bit getting used to turn on the boiler in advance for a shower

The good bits: - The area is great for bars and non touristy tavernas - Its close to a supermarket and walkable to the main tourist areas of Athens - Had everything we needed - Host was responsive

The bad bits: - You have to push a button to start the hot water, which takes 20 minutes - The aircon was locked to 24c (the host did fix this but it meant us waiting in the apartment for him to arrive) - The street is noisy with bars open late - The bed is small for two people - The corridors and lift outside the apartment are slightly unnerving
