The apartment was good value for the price, and the location was convenient.
The communication with the host was disappointing. I did not receive any information before arrival, nor did the host contact me on the day of check-in.
After landing, I contacted her on WhatsApp and clearly mentioned that we would arrive around 14:00–14:15. She told me that the cleaning lady would only finish at 14:00 and that, even if we wanted to leave our luggage at the apartment earlier, we would still have to come back at 14:00 to collect the keys.
Then, at 13:59, she messaged saying that the cleaning lady should be leaving and that we needed to hurry to get the keys because she had somewhere else to be. I found this strange, considering that I had already clearly communicated our expected arrival time. When I tried to contact her afterwards, she did not reply. We eventually arrived at 15:12. I did not understand why we were being rushed when our arrival time had already been communicated.
The apartment itself was very spacious, but it felt quite impersonal and lacked warmth or character. The shower area in the bathroom is extremely small, and a larger person would probably find it difficult to use comfortably. The toilet also has an issue: if the flush button is not pressed in a certain way, the water continues running. The bathroom floor did not seem to have been cleaned particularly well either.
When we arrived, the cleaning lady had also left several items drying in the kitchen, which I did not find appropriate for an apartment that was supposed to be ready for new guests. The air conditioning had not been turned on beforehand, so the apartment was extremely hot when we arrived.
On the day of check-out, I informed the host that we would leave at exactly 10:00, which is the official check-out time stated on Booking, and that we could not leave earlier. Nevertheless, at exactly 10:00, the cleaning lady was already at the apartment door.
