The host and the location is what makes it worth it, but the basement with no window makes it a no-go to be very honest.

The location was extremely ideal! Central to everything!

It’s on a basement with no windows. Thus the room has no natural light at all and it smelled bad because of no fresh air. This also made it tough to breath comfortably in there.

Right in the heart of Madrid, allowing rapid access to the main attractions

Amazing location, right in the heart of Madrid, allowing rapid access to the main attractions. Plenty of restaurants and bars are nearby. Did not feel the need to catch transportation for the majority of the time. The studio itself is a bit smaller than I hoped, but quite reasonable for the requested price. The host was very attentive and nice. I would book again for a small stay during the week.

The street was quite busy at night, and since my studio was on the lower floor, we could hear the noise at night up to 2 AM from a nearby club. Therefore, if you have little kids, it might not be an ideal spot. We went during the weekdays. Nonetheless, we were so tired from the amazing walks throughout the city that it did not bother us that much. You may notice some humidity odor in the studio, but in my view, it has nothing to do with cleaning; rather, it is related to the location / neighborhood , because I noticed the same odor in most of the places I have been (bars and restaurants, and even in some streets).
