Hotel La Posada de Atahualpa

The staff was INCREDIBLE and so kind and helpful when I was ill. Violeta and Maggie were so welcoming and attentive. The hotel room is clean, large, and very comfortable.

It’s a bit far from the city center.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cet hôtel ! À tel point que nous y sommes restés 7 nuits en tout : 3 avant notre excursion pour le Machu Picchu et 4 après coup. Violeta et Maggie ont été des hôtes extraordinaires. Bienveillantes, aidantes et ultra réactives pour toutes nos demandes ! Super petit déjeuner. Nous avons toujours eu droit à des petits déjeuners à emporter préparés avec soin pour nos excursions matinales. La literie était douillette et l’eau bien chaude ! Nous étions tristes de partir de cet hôtel au calme et situé à seulement 15 minutes de la place historique ! Pour le tarif, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !

Het sanitair was verouderd en kan wel een opfrisbeurt gekrijgen. Het tapijt op de vloer ook liever vervangen voor iets hygiënischer.

The bedroom was clean; comfortable bed; quiet; plenty of lighting; large room; decent breakfast with no limitations; everything worked; friendly staff; complimentary coca tea for the guests.

There was heavy mold on the caulking in the shower; the booking.com listing showed that the room came with heat, but upon arrival, I was told that this is at an extra charge. The booking.com information page didn't indicate such additional fees apply for the portable heater, and so it was logical to conclude that it was included in the price of the room. I ended up using my portable electric stove to heat the room; the cleaning staff person left 2 windows wide upon, and so upon arrival on my second 3-day stay, the room was colder than it should've been, as it was already 9pm and cold outside when I arrived.
