They had great links with the surrounding town and the next door merchants seemed to be part and parcel of the experience

Everything was perfect. Fresh and clean. I had a kettle, a fridge (no freezer), a microwave and a sink. Towels were ready. There were bowls and plates and utensils, along with soap, a sponge and dish rag. The bathroom was clean and large.
The location was in walking distance to great shopping, scenery, and the train station.
This place may present issues for older travelers as there is a spiral staircase and no lift. The shower was a good size but had no grips on the pan.
Overall my stay was a delight. I would recommend this to any traveler who likes simple no frills stays in low key places. It was quiet, and had everything I needed for a short stay.
