The house was the perfect place for a four-day stay for me, my wife, our daughter, her husband and infant, and my 92 year-old mother. The houses is clean, spacious and well- equipped. The area is quiet and rural. Our vacation was splendid.

We rented the house to spend time with some old friends. It was four adults and four teenagers. The kids all exclaimed it was the best house we've stayed in, so pretty impressive to find something two sets of siblings can agree on!
The bedrooms are plenty large and each one has a ceiling fan. The common areas are beautiful. A lot of times when we rent a house, there are enough beds, but not enough places for us to eat together. Not so here! The big dining table was great. The kitchen was beautiful. We enjoyed the beautiful bushes outside and all the butterflies they attracted. The conversation area was lovely. We had a fire in the pit. We used the kayaks and the dock. Don't plan on swimming! So many jellyfish!
If you are looking for a place with lots going on this is not it. But if you are looking for a gorgeous and comfortable house, this is perfect. And if you like stargazing, this is the place to be! We lucked out and had a new moon. There is literally no light pollution and we could see so many stars!
All eight of us loved it and would recommend to everyone!

The property was perfect for me and my large family. The layout is comfortable, and housed me, my wife, three children and their significant others, and two grandchildren with ease. And we did not even end up using the loft area, which could have housed two add'l children. We anticipate staying again when we visit my parents again.
The one suggestion I would make is that the grill needs to be maintained or replaced. We were not able to use it due to disrepair. Other than that we were well pleased with all of the amenities, and we were helped quickly when we found ourselves to have pressed the wrong button on the front door which locked us out of the premises. Glen responded immediately and had a contingency plan to get us back in with no hassles. Thank you Glen.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bay house. It was just the right size for our family of 4 adults, a tween and a toddler. The house was very clean and comfortably furnished. We had everything we needed to prepare meals. It was nice having a fenced yard for the children to play. The dock was just a few steps down the road, and the guys enjoyed catching crabs (and returning them to the water).
We took day trips to Cape Charles, Kiptopeke State Park and Virginia Beach.
The adults also enjoyed the Chatham winery that was just a couple miles away.
It was great being out in farm country, away from it all, - we even did some star gazing one clear night.
We highly recommend the house!
