Domus Amelio - Country Rooms

How refreshing to book a B&B when the owner (host) goes out of his way beyond all expectations to help you feel at home and comfortable. We were in Palermo and needed to get closer to the airport for a very early start. I am 80 and con no longer jump out of bed at 4am -and then find my way to a bus stop for an hours journey! Marco the host told us to get the airport bus the afternoon before and he would collect us from the airport. He also took us to several restaurants in Cinisi -picked us up again and took us to the airport the next morning (10 minutes) The room was beautifully decorated, the bed was large and comfortable, great TV with foreign channels, fridge stocked with various drinks and a large basket of various breakfast goodies. Coffee machine etc The bathroom was equally perfect with large white towels, great shower and again decorated with taste. The whole experience was smooth and easy and delightful. Highly recommended from a seasoned traveller. Grazie mille Marco,magnifico.

Marco is a wonderful host. He truly cares about his Guest. So you get two for one. You get a great accommodation where every detail has been thought of in advance before your arrival. And you get a wonderful host - Marco. Marco’s guest appreciation and accommodation and his attention to detail that actually provides the needs of his guest that are traveling… should be adopted by Bookings in a written charter of rules and expectations of all their Customer host clients that provide rentals to Travelers. We Travelers that are reading my comments. Know this is true. Most of the bookings that we book are not true to Customer Service by the host, and the pictures often times are not what we get when we arrive..

Everything was great! All the extra effort to make my stay comfortable what exceeded.

Very comfortable bed and facilities in the room . Complimentary Water, milk, coffee, cakes & crackers provided for breakfast . Coffee maker & kettle ( great for British tea drinkers !) Even plug in anti mosquito device. Mario provided a free shuttle service ( & recommendations ) for dinner in the evening. He also offers a competitively priced shuttle service to the airport

Chambre très propre et bien équipée, petit déjeuner plutôt copieux et le propriétaire extrêmement gentil, prêt à rendre service.

Le logement est prêt de l’aéroport mais absolument pas accessible à pied, il faut obligatoirement rajouter 60€ de navette au prix de la chambre si on est pas en voiture. Nous aurions aimé le savoir car au total quasi 200€ la nuit juste à coté de la piste d’atterrissage avec un bruit d’avion jusqu’à 1h du matin c’est juste pas possible! Un autre client est arrivé vers 1h dans la chambre à côté, nous l’avons entendu tousser toute la nuit. Nous n’avons pas du tout bien dormi ! C’est assez curieux tous ces bons avis, nous ne recommandons pas du tout.
