Good location, great communication with the landlord

The guests were not removing their food from the fridge and there was lots of old, stinky food there.

Ci sono stati dei rumori dal piano di sopra una notte ma per il resto, parlando con la struttura si è risolto tutto.

The location is convenient, there's a bus stop 5 mins away where buses for Valletta city centre pass every couple of minutes. The room itself was okay: seemed clean, the beds and pillows were okay, there was AC. The owners were nice when answering questions and when I asked for extra towels we got them quite quickly. The common room was surprisingly peaceful when we were passing through even though we didnt use it. I liked the fact that they sent us a detailed guide before check in, it was cute and handy.

Power outlets are not near the beds. Wifi didnt work 90% of the time despite the fact that I flagged this multiple times. The security deposit and eco tax stressed us out because they're supposed to be paid via external links before arrival and we were concerned we would get scammed. Thankfully, it all went okay, I got the deposit back and no extra money is missing from my account. There's no trash bin in the room and the trash disposal system is complicated - this could easily be solved with joint trash bins in the common room per trash category. The bathroom has almost zero ventilation and as a result has a slight mold/fungus problem, but honestly, the worse problem is the lack of air and the feeling of suffocation. I would not be able to endure a shower longer than 10 minutes. Also, the bathroom doesn't have hooks or hangers for towels/clothes, only one. Our check in was supposed to be at 15:00. We asked if we could ideally check in earlier - which, of course, is a request we weren't counting on having fullfiled - but not only were we not able to check in early, we had to check in an hour later because the cleaning lady only showed up at 15:00. I found this very unprofessional. We could wait in the common room and we were told that we can leave our bags until check in, but there are no lockers so it's just leaving and praying no one snatches them. I found it insulting that the instructions included a note that we're advised not to use sunscreen or makeup so we don't damage the towels as they're "high-quality linen" because they're OBVIOUSLY the cheapest kind available, the kind you'd buy in a three pack at Spar for 5 euro. The photos on Booking gave us 0 overview of the room - honestly, we were booking last minute so we were a bit desperate.
