Epic stay!
We absolutely LOVED our time on the boat! It was such a beautiful and unique place to stay, and we honestly didn’t want to leave. We had the best time playing board games, doing a bit of fishing, and pottering around the river in the little boat. The hosts were very kind and accommodating, It was such a lovely way to slow down and enjoy our time away.
Thank you so much for having us! We made some lovely memories and would happily stay again.
The bathroom facilities are a little rustic, so it’s worth keeping that in mind when booking. The river can also get quite busy, with plenty of jet ski lessons and people zooming around, but it didn’t bother us too much.

It’s was wonderful experience to sleep in this cute boat, we enjoyed sunsets and woke up at sunrise. We also loved exploring the area in the small boat and Ally and David were great hosts, super attentive and helpful. We’ll come back.

Runs on Solar so might not be ideal if you need to run a sleep apnea machine overnight as there’s no power to boil an electric kettle or have a hot shower when you wake up- there was a gas camp stove and gas kettle thankfully. It’s a 40year old houseboat, anchored about 30m off the beach, it can’t be moved to other locations like other houseboats- you do have a small inflatable to get in out with oars and engine. (Pack gear in small waterproof bags if you can). It’s a busy location (especially on a weekend/school holidays) with no privacy-jet skies including a 10 jet ski tours would race past several times a day. A lot like camping- toilet and shower very primitive - wouldn’t not be easy to wash hair.
