The tents were incredible. Great location for Akagera park. Views were brilliant and communal spaces was were comfortable too for dinner and relaxing. Food was ok, was convenient to eat given we had a long day in the car and didn’t want to go out for dinner.

Fantastic view and calm and remote and perfect location for a before and/or after day trip in Akagera National Park.

Wonderful location and views

Safari expensive and couldn’t share

We spent two wonderful nights at Akagera Rhino Lodge, and we really enjoyed our stay. The lodge has a peaceful and beautiful location, with stunning views of Lake Ihema and the surrounding landscape. We stayed in one of the tents, which was very spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room and a lovely private bathroom with a nice shower. What made our stay especially enjoyable was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Special thanks to Aimee. We felt very much at home, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about us and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality made our stay even more special. The food was amazing, and we particularly enjoyed relaxing around the campfire in the evening. The swimming pool is also a real plus — it’s a wonderful place to cool down and relax. The lodge is also well located for visiting Akagera National Park, making it a convenient base for a safari. We would definitely recommend Akagera Rhino Lodge to anyone visiting Akagera. We had a lovely experience and would happily stay here again.
