Very nice place. The host was quick to respond and nice to deal with. The amenities offered were great! There was four of us and we were all comfortable. If you have any trouble with your knees or back, the stairs coming up to the door maybe a little tough due to no hand rails. But the place over all was cute and homie!

This home was exactly as shown in pictures/video! Two chalets sit together but are not attached from inside the home at all, so it was very private and quiet. It is located on a main road, but the chalet is surrounded by trees, and the driveway is curved, and long enough that you don't feel like you're on a busy road. We have a large dog, but he never travels with us, so I do not put "pet friendly" in my VRBO search. After I booked this home, I realized it IS pet friendly. I was concerned it may be noticeable that pets have been in the home, but honestly, you would NEVER KNOW it is pet friendly. I am a very fussy housekeeper, and this house is CLEAN!! It smells new and there are no air fresheners or candles trying to "mask" any odors, it's just very well maintained and as clean as our own home. The 2-story living room is open to a loft with a nice queen size bedroom, so it feels bigger than it is, which is nice. The appliances are modern, the galley kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom has plenty of towels, and they are very nice quality. There is a nice laundry room, and the blackout shades are AWESOME throughout the house, so much so, that we are trying to find them online to order for our home!! Tammy was great with communication and check in/out was flawless. We will definitely book again for our next trip to the casinos in the area...Little River and Turtle Creek casinos are close by. It was a wonderful place to stay while exploring the national forest! It was cozy, the kitchen was functional and it was a bonus to have a washer and dryer! I will stay again next time I’m in the area.

Sunrise and sunset are enjoyable indoors - or on the gorgeous deck.The living: Brand new, super fast/strong heat and AC. Intuitive electronics and wi-fi. Gorgeous bathroom. Fun to use vaccuum. Kitchen has an oven with steam bake, convection, and cooktop fanning...dinner was a trip highlight every night with delicious local fruits and veggies. Laundry has steam settings.World class, state-of-the art appliances...the microwave tray automatically opens with a button, and it's okay if you softly gasp.I did.Enchanting location: easily accessible, high privacy, relatively convenient local shopping.Michigan Spring/Summer - thoughtful on-property pest control helped make nature enjoyable even during buggy spells. I did see mushrooms on-site...it really is an oasis of luxury in the heart of the Manistee National Forest.
