The location was beautiful, overlooking the Bay of Naples, with views to Sorrento, Mount Etna , Naples and Capri. Would really recommend you getting a balcony sea view room, as it was stunning to see the little boats going to Capri. Bus stop every 20 mins outside the door. Lovely bar and lounge at the hotel. The dining room was amazing with panoramic views over the bay. Staff were so kind and generally spoke good English. Food in the al la carte restaurant was exceptional. Such delicious home made breads , pastas and sauces, so light and tasty. The beef on beetroot was a must-have! Everything was served to such a high standard. Table sttings, everything. We ventured into Sorrento one evening on the bus, and paid the same price for an inferior meal. The original owner of the Hotel, 86 year old Pina, made the pizza dough and breads and sauces, so lovely. Our room was huge, airy and cool, beautiful ceramic floor tiles. We had air con but did not need it, even though the temperature was around 28°C during the day, there was always a lovely breeze. The sun beds on the upper balcony were a bonus and there was a jacuzzi, although this wasn't heated.
No access to the beach(not that this was promised in the details).
Breakfast was strange, foods left in packets, like processed cheese and ham. There was scrambled egg but it was made once and left to go cold and always with blackened bits serverd with it. Same with the over crisp bacon. Quite a contrast from the lunch and dinner options. Still plenty of choice if you liked different cakes, there were yoghurt and cereal too. Appealing more to the sweeter taste.
The carpet covering the external marble stairways to the upper rooms was worn away and loose so your shoes could catch in it, and very dangerous. Only a small gripe, as over-all, it was a wonderful place to stay and we would go back.

The stay was overall pleasant. The room was clean and had everything needed for a short stay. The location was convenient for visiting Sorrento and the surrounding area.
The property is quite simple and there was nothing particularly remarkable about the facilities or the room. Overall, it was fine for a short stay, although the experience felt rather basic considering the price.
