Pax Manor Muthaiga

The air con safari style rooms were amazing so beautiful and modern and private. Loved the monkeys in the trees it felt like we were in the countryside not the city.

We waited an hour plus for our room service food which meant our kids didn’t get to bed until 1am! The kids chicken nuggets were so processed they were inedible so my child went to bed hungry.

Pax Manor is located in a peaceful, leafy part of Nairobi. It is truly an oasis and we felt very well looked after by the staff. It was exceptional

The staff were all attentive and efficient. Breakfast excellent. The layout and gardens were beautiful. I loved that you kept the original manor building and built around it so esthetically. Loved that it overlooked the Karura Forest giving us entertainment from the wildlife including birds and Colobus monkeys (passing through). I just pray that Karura Forrest remains intact and that no more is destroyed.🙏 Thank you to the whole team for giving us such a pleasurable stay.

We didn't have the time to use some of the facilities because of our external commitments. Hopefully we can use them next time. The pool was too cool for me to use but my husband used it once. There was a lot of activity and entertainment within the grounds but in the main it didn't impose on us enjoying the comforts of room 6.

Location location location

Prepay credit taken from credit card at start of stay rather than charge everything to the room and pay at the end (like every other hotel globally). Establishes a feeling of not being trusted, even though the room cost approx $2k for a week b&b……….doesnt make sense! The in-house taxis are massively overpriced. Select reserved seating for ksh 10k is silly in my opinion. Check-out extended from 11am to 12pm, although room key disconnected at 11am 🙄. Service at both bars is soooooooooo slow, even when the hotel had very few guests. Inconsistent calls in the morning to remind you tha breakfast finishes at 10.30am………..very random. We’re adults, why do we need a call at 10am to remind us? Very strange! Some of the younger women had an attitude, hid knows why? 😔
