Great stay needs an upgrade

The house is a great size. Ideal for a family reunion. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Had to call for assistance as there were not enough towels and we had an issue with the shower. The gentleman that came was extremely friendly and helpful

The property is in need of maintenance throughout. A bit of decorating and new flooring could bring this house to a whole new level. The kitchen could also do with more equipment such as new pots and pans for cooking

Disappointing and surprised that you are able to use this property as a holiday let.

When we arrived after the specified arrival time the cleaner was still at the property. She did apologise and ask us to come back in half an hour, which we were happy to do. Once we returned we discovered several issues in the first instance: - Limited cutlery, 1 knife, 2 spoons and 4 forks. - No Can opener - No bottle opener - No hand soap - No grater - No plug or bowl - No light bulbs in any of the bedside lamps - Door handle on back door broken (This was mentioned on a review on Booking.com in June) After numerous phone calls these were replaced and fixed. The host was very polite and obliging and offered us a move to a different house as the guests before had been there for 8 weeks and abused the property. As we had had a food delivery for the weekend and put it all away we decided to stay. The host then offered a discount, but nothing has been offered or arrived. Issues that need to be addressed: - Door hanging off in kitchen - Something replaced leaving bare floor, no kick boards and side of cupboard exposed - Plug socket exposed at the back of the fridge freezer - Lacking in saucepans, cooking trays and general kitchen equipment for a self-catering property - Plastics in dishwasher broken - Control knob for back left ring not on properly so kept heating up - Leftover food in the freezer - Dining table and chairs for 6 people in house advertised for 8. - Door hanging off of tv cabinet - No aerial plug on wire from tv - Poorly decorated, very low quality furnishings and carpets badly marked - No toilet roll holders or towel rails - Not 1 bath towel per person - Sockets and light fittings broken - Mould in bathroom - Ensuite floor tiles loose and poorly maintained - Shower screen loose and not on tracking - Front bedroom only socket behind the wardrobe and window handle broken so could not be locked - Nails left exposed in all rooms - The garden was both unsafe and unusable with rubbish and pallets left lying around. Unfit for family use and no furniture

Very clean and spacious, good location for what we needed and very helpful, responsive host !

Just a couple of minor things- the hot tap in the shower room is broken and didn’t turn off hot, and the door handle to the patio door was also broken- both issues which I’m sure can be fixed. Otherwise an excellent stay!

Clean and spacious with friendly & helpful host

Very responsive, polite and professional host. We were in a bit of a pickle having been let down last minute by another booking and Faith helped us out at very short notice! It was amazing service considering we were a large booking and the accommodation was just perfect for us. Clean , comfortable and spacious and we wouldnt hesitate to recommend !
