Great location and staff. Big rooms to be in Japan. Very nice with coffee maker in the lobby with free bakery items until 9 am. Service minded staff which helped with everything. From calling taxis and giving advice and recommendations.
No breakfast, but not a problem for us. Better to go to a café. Most common for us in October was to buy something in the grocery store and find a bench.

Chambre très spacieuse et propre. Très bien placé, à côté du quartier Gion et à dix minutes Danube bouche de métro. Personnel très agréable. Je recommande.

The location was excellent
Our hotel room was long and extremely narrow. The total width of the room was around 6 feet in my estimation with bunkbeds along the wall and no more than a 2 foot walking path from the front door to the bathroom. Just a bit uncomfortable.
Also, this hotel has an extremely late 4pm check-in in comparison to almost all other hotels where it is generally possible to check in by 1pm or 2 PM. But the room would be available for an additional ¥2000 charge per hour, so seems unreasonable to have a very late check-in but charge for an earlier check-in.
