Excellent location for “old” tokyo (30 min subway to modern areas) , close to subways, nice room

The property is exactly as pictured on booking.com! The spaces are a bit small, but most of the hotels in Tokyo are. We were a small family so the quietness of the neighborhood was the best fit for us. We would walk in the early mornings along the Sumida river and our toddler loved it. The hotel room was very clean & the staffs were absolutely wonderfully accommodating and so sweet. We’re so grateful to have stayed at MKG Hotel Asakusa :)

We really loved all about it. It was very comfortable, it had great amenities, it was nicely decorated and the staff was very nice. The favourite thing is that compared with big famous hotels it had really nice tea and coffee.

Property was very close to a station (3min walk) and the style was great.
The hotel rooms don’t use digital passkey cards but numerical codes to enter into the door. These codes don’t actually change and poses a security issue.
We were lucky and everything was okay but it just doesn’t seem like the safest and most secure options Numerical codes could still be used but they should be changed for each stay in that room.
