Hotel Kali

Sehr stielvolle, konvortable Einrichtung, schöne Terrasse mit fantastischer Aussicht. Excellentes Essen in schöner Ambiente.

Ein Fläschchen Wasser im Zimmer wäre nett gewesen.

From the moment we were met off our short ferry ride from Zadar to Preko, we had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kali. The stylishly decorated, understated hotel is situated on a historic site next to the beautiful Church of St Lawrence with lovely views to the sea and small islands surrounding Zadar. We were greeted by the very welcoming Laurenka and taken to the hotel where Sarah the receptionist was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. No amount of questions we asked were too much for her! Advice and recommendations were always shared, especially by Luka who is passionate about not only serving drinks, cocktails, food etc but has lots of visitor information which he shared with passion. All the staff speak impeccable English and were warm, friendly and attentive. We had dinner twice in the restaurant and our favourite was the Parmegiana - flavours were amazing and presentation of food just stunning, especially the complimentary appetiser which was a lovely surprise. The small breakfast menu had enough variety but our favourite was the homemade granola and yoghurt. So much so, the chef prepared us a portion to have on our departure morning before the kitchen opened for guests!! I can also recommend the Kali breakfast which was delicious. Eating outside with the view of the sea was an extra bonus every morning. We booked a room with Kingsize bed and it was very spacious with plenty of cupboard & storage space and ample size bathroom with shower and separate toilet. The decor is understated and clean & elegant with an amazing sea view from our large balcony. Bar fridge and kettle facility made it a super comfortable stay. Laurenka manages the hotel as if she is hosting family and her team made our stay such a lovely, relaxing experience. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the island for a fabulous stay and hope to return to this beautiful place for top hospitality and to see the friendly staff we were sad to say goodbye to!

As it was the end of season, there was less staff to serve in the dining room, so whilst it may have been a little slow, the lovely staff more than made up for it with their attention and we were on holiday so no need to rush! The hotel is half way up a steep hill which was not a problem for us at all but just worth noting if mobility issues - we loved the exercise walking up and down it numerous times a day!

Hele mooie kamer met alle benodigde faciliteiten. Alles is zeer netjes en schoon. Zeer nieuw interieur binnen het gehele hotel. Fijn zwembad met ligging in de zon, mogelijkheid tot sporten in een kleine gymzaal en elke ochtend keuze uit een heerlijk ontbijt op het terras.

Maar weinig op te merken over zo’n mooie locatie met erg fijn personeel!
