The Lodge (Y Porthdy) was spotlessly clean, we loved the bread, milk and fresh eggs that were left for us upon arrival.
We slept well as the beds were very comfy.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need.
My children were happy with extensive choice of channels on the tv, and loved watching the rabbits and pheasants on the lawn in the mornings.

What a wonderful little place! We travelled with our children for a busy few days at Ynys Môn and this was the perfect location to go back and relax in! Secluded, chilled out and cosy! We loved the animals, including the wild rabbits! We were lucky to have fantastic weather and a nice fan in the lodge to cool us down. It is so well equipped with all facilities you could want / need. We did have a rough thunderstorm at night and the hosts were so quick to check that we were ok.
We also had a wonderful welcome pack of fresh eggs, milk, bread, water & Welsh cakes on arrival. How thoughtful!
The wildlife here is amazing too. If you are looking for a cosy and comfy secluded break we definitely recommend. There are also some lovely pubs and shops just a short drive away. We even walked it one day!
Hoping to return when we are up this way again.

The Lodge is delightful. As can easily be seen from the images, it’s a caravan, but the timber cladding makes it cosy and well-insulated. It is maintained, equipped and furnished to a high standard and we found it comfortable and immaculately clean. We are a couple either side of 80 and were there when Storm Amy struck with winds of up to 60mph and it was fine.
Being a caravan, there isn’t as much storage as you would have in a cottage or a house, although the main bedroom has plenty, so it’s best not to take too much ‘stuff’ including food.
Dan, the very friendly host, and family are on site and quick to help if necessary, being keen to ensure everything is as it should be.
It is well-positioned on the island and is in a quiet, pretty spot with pygmy goats for entertainment.
There was a problem with the hot water but Dan helped with that during our stay and it was due to be dealt with afterwards.
