My son and I stayed here six nights while visiting the Black Hills. This house was better than any hotel/motel we could have booked. The house sits on a quiet street a couple blocks from the main avenue of town. We walked easily to restaurants and to the bike rental shop. We prepared breakfasts and several dinners easily, as the kitchen is fully equipped. The air conditioner kept the house cool on one of the hottest weeks of the year. Comfortable beds, plenty of closet space. Off-street parking on the gravel drive in front of the house.

Old but quiet and comfortable cottage. Location was great: easily walkable to downtown Custer and 2 blocks to Mickelson Trail. Host responsive. AC unit kept living area cool.

Great location, but smelled and looked like someone's grandmother's house that hadn't been changed at all.
