Welcome to Shorebird Cottage! Make yourself at home in this family-friendly space + make memories at the beach! Take a dip in our heated pool or lounge poolside with a favorite book. Enjoy year-round indoor/outdoor living, grilling burgers or roasting smores by the firepit. Bake cookies, make a smoothie + enjoy a latte using items from our well-equipped kitchen. There's plenty of room for everyone, thanks to our bunkroom that sleeps 4, plus the queen + king beds in this 3 bedroom/2 bath cottage!
The space
Upon entering, guests will find themselves in the living room, with vaulted ceilings and white vertical paneling throughout. With a beautiful and cozy couch, two sitting chairs, and a large Frame TV, you will instantly feel at home. The living room is open to the kitchen, with four stools, a large apron sink, and everything you need to make a meal, bake cookies, or brew coffee your favorite way. Just beyond the kitchen is the dining room which is surrounded by large windows, letting sunlight in throughout the day. This area features a large table with more than enough seating for 8, with a built-in bench on two sides, and 4 chairs pulled up on the others. This is the perfect place to sit and enjoy your meals with family or friends, or perhaps sit together and do a puzzle or play a game. From the dining room you can access the large back patio, which features a dining table and 6 chairs as well as a fire pit and bistro lights strung overhead. There is a gas grill as well as a gas fire pit for spending evenings outside. The heated pool features a sunshelf and a child safety gate with an automatic close feature to give parents of little ones peace of mind. At the pool, you can lounge on one of four pool chairs, and have the option to open a large umbrella for a bit of relief from the sun. The private backyard is fully fenced and surrounded by lush landscaping and boasts a garden and enough backyard space for the kids to run around, toss a football, or a frisbee.
The split floorplan features a primary suite on one side with a king-sized bed, dresser, large floor mirror, double vanity, a large walk-in shower, and a walk-in closet. The other side of the house has two guest rooms, one with a queen-sized bed, and the other featuring custom built-in twin-sized bunkbeds which will accommodate four sleepers. The two guest rooms share the second bathroom which has a bathtub.

This property was beautiful and clean!! I would recommend it to my friends. The pool area was perfect for family time and swimming. Pool towels provided. The host communicated well!

We have been visiting Florida every spring break for the last 8 years and Shorebird Cottage was one of the best that we've stayed at! We had an amazing stay and the heated pool was the highlight for our two teen sons. The house had a great open concept layout, was clean and bright. The owners had stocked the house fully with everything that we needed and more! If you are into a house that is thoughtfully organized and comfortable, you will not be disappointed. We really appreciated how Tara responded quickly to our messages, and she followed up with us to ensure that everything was OK. Overall, we highly recommend Shorebird Cottage and look forward to visiting there again in the near future!

The property exceeded expectations. Our family of four had an incredible vacation. Everything in the house was well crafted and new. The cookware, linens, and appliances were all top notch. The backyard was an oasis. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool, as well as the patio and grass area. We also found the backyard to be quite secure and safe. We have little children (4 and 7) and we felt the pool area and the fencing around the property kept them very safe. We have been to Bonita many times and we are aware of the many things to do in the area. During this trip we spent the vast majority of our time at the house. It was that enjoyable. It was a great kitchen for all of our cooking needs. We carried out several times from The Fish House or from Coconut Jacks, both very close and excellent. Our boys enjoyed the bunk room. There were some toys and games available for them to play with. The internet worked well and the Smart TV gave us all of our streaming options. We brought some of our own old sheets to drape over the nice sofa. We would hate for our boys to stain new furniture. I would recommend this for families because everything in this house is nice and new.
Final thought... We used to be condo rentals only. This was our first pool house. We are now converts. I can't see going back to a condo.
