The place was nice, check in took a little bit. The property was nice but the elevator in the one tower was constantly not working. The resort was close enough to walk to many places which was great. The staff was super nice and coffee bar was a hit. The biggest problem was the public beach access and it was horrible!! If we would have known before we booked that the public beach was only about 75 yards wide if that and the rest of the beach was roped off for other resorts we would have not stayed here. I have never seen something more ridiculous. People barely had room to move and were basically sitting in top of eachother in this tiny little square of the beach. We then tried to go to Henderson State only to be turned away because now they make a “Reservation” rule and the website it’s so confusing so that was a bust. We were lucky to have access to another one about 15minutes away for other reasons but it was annoying that we had to travel for it. Overall the trip was good, hotel was perfect for kids but unless you plan on staying at the pool everyday good luck with that public beach.

Just as beautiful in person as it was listed. We loved it. Would definitely recommend this property and hope to book again on our next trip to Destin. It was amazing!

Overall the stay was nice. Our teens enjoyed that the pool stayed open until 11 and they could have some freedom. The unit was not quite the layout I expected, but was roomy and sufficient for our needs. That said the living room furniture was terribly uncomfortable. The coach was not comfortable to sit on at all. While we spent a lot of time outside. In the evenings when our kids were out at the pool my husband and I like to relax and unwind in the room. That was basically impossible as the coach was too uncomfortable to sit at for any period of time. The TV in the bedroom would freeze up and not always work, so watching TV in bed didn’t always work either. The amenities were nice, we enjoyed the pool, the restaurant actually had really good food, the bar is grossly overpriced but since you can bring your own cooler to the pool wasn’t a deal breaker. Unfortunately you can’t have a cup within 6 ft of the pool so you can’t really relax in the water with a beverage. Getting to a public beach isn’t as convenient as it appears. We drove to the public beach across the street and it is VERY small and a ton of people packed in…. Henderson state park beach was much better, but alcohol isn’t allowed so you have to choose what you prefer. We saw several families walking back from the beach who had ridden the shuttle over as the shuttle never returned to pick them up. Overall this is probably a great place for family’s with a little younger kids (ours were 15).
