"Villa Corrado" is situated in the middle of a 1-hectare lemon grove.
The city of Avola is at the heart of a region rich in natural beauty; nearby are some of Sicily’s most beautiful natural sites: Cava Grande del Cassibile, Pantalica, the Vendicari Nature Reserve, and the Iblean Mountains.
Archaeological sites such as the Roman Villa of Tellaro, the Greek Theater of Syracuse, Ortigia, Pallazolo Acreide, Noto, Modica, Scicli, and Ragusa Ibla.
The villa features a large garden, private parking, air conditioning in the living room and kitchen areas, and outdoors, a spacious veranda, a barbecue, and an outdoor hot-water shower.
The pool, equipped with a hydrolysis system, measures 11 m by 6 m with a depth of 1.50 m. The pool is open from April 25 to September 30.
It is shared with the owners.
It was converted from an ancient “jebbia,” an irrigation basin for the lemon groves surrounding the villa.
From the villa, you can reach the beach, which is 500 meters away, either on foot or by car—which you can park in a convenient parking lot near the beach.
There are two beach establishments on the beach.
For jogging enthusiasts, the approximately 5–6 km-long boardwalk is ideal for this activity; it has a comfortable sidewalk and connects several beaches: Tremoli, Pantanello, Loggia Borgo Marina, and Cicirata.
A 600-meter walk away is a shopping center with various supermarkets, Lidl, Conad, Eurospin, and Penny Market.
Along the waterfront, you’ll find pizzerias, seafood restaurants, and sandwich shops.
You can also go jogging along the waterfront, and there are tennis courts and soccer fields.

A fabulous place to stay. Spacious house on the outskirts of Avola, close to the beach with a lovely pool and a great host.

We, Family of Four, had an amazing vacation ! The house is great, the pool is awesome and there was plenty to do in Avola and the surrounding area. Salvatore was a great host and we enjoyed the visits from the local mice catchers. Don’t miss Cavagranda del Cassibili or Syrakus. Plenty of shopping close by and specialty stores in Avola.

Our stay was perfect, Villa Corrado was comfortable, clean, very comfortable beds, lots of hot water for our showers but most of all we were warmly greeted by our amazing host Salvatore,Cold water in the fridge, a welcome bottle of wine, fruit from the trees and fresh eggs from the resident chickens,The resident elderly friendly dogs and cats just add to the overall experience of being fully immersed in the local life. Not quite warm enough to try out the immaculate pool, but the view of the distant hills is perfect.If a little slice of rural Avola is what you are looking for stay in Villa Corrado, walking distance to an amazing beach and all the bars and restaurants you could need.We would return without hesitation.

The house was clean with basic furnishings and the two ground floor bedrooms (the ones we used) were good sizes with comfortable beds. The pool was great and it was nice to be so close to the sea. You can also see the sea from the extensive roof terrace, but there was no furniture to sit on up there.
On arrival we were disappointed to find that one of the bathrooms could only be accessed from the outside of the house (and the other side from the bedrooms). The shower in this outdoor bathroom was cold. The external access really should have been mentioned in the listing and it really impacted on our stay as it wasn’t fit for use and so we all shared a bathroom. As two couples travelling together this would have been a deal breaker if we’d have known beforehand. The listing also mentioned smart TVs in each room which were not there (we didn’t mind but others might!) The house is situated in an area of Avola which is undergoing development, so although the immediate surroundings are green and planted, the views of the wider area include some construction and there was some noise from this though not every day.
Avola itself is a nice town - not touristy (which suited us) There is a lovely beach nearby which is very good for swimming. The water was a lovely temperature at the end of October. The location is also well placed for trips to Syracusa, Catania (which we liked best!), Noto and the other Baroque towns.
