Enjoy the best of both worlds, this property is an easy walk to the beach and also boasts great bay views.
Our property is a short walk down the road to McCrae's gorgeous beach. We have an open plan living area which enjoys a stunning bay view. There is a huge balcony facing Port Phillip Bay where you can enjoy the McCrae lighthouse and the shipping channel . On clear days the You Yangs and Melbourne are also visible.
The house has been renovated. It is light, modern with polished floorboards throughout, whilst still retaining the house's original charm.
There is a large enclosed back garden for kids and dogs to enjoy. We have a trampoline, swing set and sandpit.
Top storey compromises of 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and open plan kitchen / dining / lounge area.
Bedroom 1# 1 queen bed
Bedroom 2# 2 single beds plus trundle
Bedroom 3# 2 sets of bunk beds
Downstairs consists of another bedroom, bathroom, games room and laundry. (1 queen bed and 2 double sofa beds)
The house easily lends itself to 2 families, as downstairs has its own separate entrance and bathroom. Kitchen and laundry areas would be shared. Please note: no internal staircase.
The house is located up the road from the lighthouse. The beach is, at most, a 5 minute walk. 3 restaurants (Greek, Italian, Thai - all excellent and really popular) and 2 cafes are at the bottom of the street and the McCrae Plaza is walking distance or a 2 minute drive.
This is a perfect property to enjoy an extended stay or a relaxing weekend away. 1 hours drive from Melbourne makes McCrae an easy getaway.

The place was spacious, and the area is beautiful. It needed more cleaning. We had to wash the plates, cups, and silverware we used because they were sticky. Cobwebs were all over the house, and the stairs to the lower level were not swept. We had to do some laundry and had to go to the lower part of the house. Also, the host should be very clear about the bedding and towels provided and communicate this to Expedia. Since one who is traveling should not worry about those items. The place was functional.

The house had everything we needed. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The lounge and dining areas easily accommodated 7 adults for a four day weekend. The views from the generous deck are spectacular. We'll definitely be coming back.

Basically everything about the house and the host. Very comfortable stay. All aspects of daily life really well catered for. Nice, quiet street. Good restaurants and cafes near by. Really appealing walks. Beach clean and welcoming. Just perfect.
