Gathering Shore is a perfect getaway for the family! Located in a neighborhood which borders the gorgeous, park-like northern border of the Matanzas River, the home is convenient to dozens of restaurants and stores and just a short drive from historic St. Augustine and the beach! The large kitchen and living area provide plenty of space and seating for everyone! Enjoy a private heated saltwater pool, fire pit, and gas grill for the perfect family vacation.
***Note: The pool heater season is from November 1st - April 15th. Pool heat is available upon request. Pool heat must be requested 24-48 hours in advance. Please inquire for pool heat fees.
Depending on the weather conditions, the pool may not hit the set point of the heater. Please note, when night temperatures go below 50 degrees the heater cannot operate effectively. Please plan your vacation activities accordingly. No refunds are issued based on weather conditions. ***

Noise Ordinance: The city of St. Augustine has a noise ordinance that prohibits noise between the hours of 10:00pm-6:00am Sunday-Thursday, and 11:00pm-7:00am Friday-Saturday. Violations can result in a $500 fee. *Decibel levels are monitored at this property to abide by city and county noise ordinances.

The check in process and communication was prompt and easy. The location was great for us, as we were about 5 to15 minutes from everything we wanted to do and it was convenient to anything you would need. The house itself was well stocked for cooking in the kitchen and there were plenty of towels available. Sheets and bedding were very clean. The inside of the home was much like the pictures. Very clean and updated. The layout was great with plenty of room for our crew of 7. The beds were pretty hard and the pillows were hard and not super comfortable. The trundle bed, which we had planned to utilize was not able to be slept on as it has no support or padding. Very uncomfortable. My daughter slept on the couch the entire trip. The pool was a nice size pool, but the liner has many tears and holes and is bad need of replacing. The yard is a nice sized yard with a fire pit and plenty of seating, but the grass was not mowed in the front or back when we arrived or during our stay. This could have made the property more appealing. There is a sizable laundry room/storage area which was great for stashing our beach gear. The only other issue we had was that when the washer drains, it bubbles up into the yard just outside the laundry room door and then the yard and laundry room smell like sulfur or sewer. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in St Augustine, and if the pool were repaired, we would definitely rent here again.
