The house is pretty much as pictured. There’s a shed behind the house filled with pool toys, beach gear, charcoal for the grill and even a wagon. The community has its own entrance to the beach, two regular pools and two kiddie pools. The lake is pretty and filled with lots of snapping turtles that will swim up when you walk by. The fireworks on the beach were 10/10. We did have someone park in our designated spot when we arrived but the maintenance guy had them move and things were great. The water pressure does suck and the handle in shower in the primary bedroom is super touchy but it was manageable. Unfortunately the beach attendants are really annoying. They put the umbrellas and chairs at the edge of the beach closest to the water and you can’t put anything in front of them unless you pay 50 for one. Your stuff has to be sat behind the rows which makes it extremely hard to keep an eye on your stuff while you’re in the ocean and also on your kids when they need to run and grab a drink or use their towel. And if the attendants see your cross the property line with your stuff they will make you move it. We had no idea about the property line. The umbrellas are so close you have to duck to get to the water it’s one of the most money hungry cash grab things I’ve ever seen. This was our first time in Destin and because of those beach attendants I don’t think we’ll be back. We’ll stick with PCB. (But that’s not the hosts fault). But I still would recommend this place for sure

The best part of the place was the location. The beach was just a short walk away and it was in a gated area. We felt very safe. Downfalls - the back deck area was not very impressive and the pictures make you think there is a hot tub by the pool but there isn’t one. What you see in the pictures is a baby pool. We would definitely stay here again!!

Place was in a great location and proximity to town and all the attractions. The property was clean and beds were comfortable. Nice to have parking right in front of the unit, and overall a nice, quiet area. My feedback on the unit is the master bathroom shower pressure wasn’t great, and the pictures made the unit look nicer than it was. The property doesn’t have direct access to the beach, but is a very short walk to the beach All around the property was nice for my family and fur babies for the week.

Overall, the accommodations were adequate, but they did not match the expectations set by the listing photos and previous reviews.A few issues we encountered during our stay:The outdoor patio table was broken and unusable.The shower faucet in the master bathroom was loose and difficult to operate.The master bedroom light would randomly turn on during the night when the ceiling fan was running.The dryer door would not latch and was difficult to use. We also experienced some communication issues prior to and during our stay. We asked whether a grill was available and were told there was not one. However, upon arrival, we found a grill on the property that we could have used.Additionally, there was a closet stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, and other beach equipment, but we were never informed that these items were available for guest use. Had we known, we could have avoided spending additional money on beach chair rentals.While the location and overall stay were fine, better communication and attention to maintenance would have improved our experience.
