Set in the peaceful village of Saxtead, just outside the market town of Framlingham, the Farmhouse is a fantastic four bedroom holiday home, full of character benefitting from sash windows, original fireplaces and herringbone brick and wooden floors. This was a family get together and the farmhouse was perfect for this. Getting messages through was a bit hit and miss. Facilities were good. Barbecue was very small for a family of 8, and I noticed the bbq next door was a lot bigger just for 2people and wondered if they had swapped with ours before we arrived! Also the folder in the lounge said tools for cleaning the bbq were under the sink, there was nothing there. Bedrooms were lovely. Overall great time had by all.

Comfortable clean and warm All beds were very comfortable with quality linensWell equipped kitchen apart from could do with a few more mugs and there were no suitable drinking glasses for fruit juice or gin and tonics minor niggle.

This Farmhouse has an abundance of outdoor space and a small games room adjacent to the property. There is a long breakfast table, which easily accommodated 5 adults and 3 children and close by a tv, games & books for entertainment. Two separate lounges downstairs one has a tv (with Netflix) and the other lounge is for reading. There is a modern outdoor table and chairs perfect for having an evening meal. It is one of the most well equipped properties we have stayed in and has an EV charger (via the TAP app) attached to the house. Framlingham Castle (English Heritage) is a very short drive away and holds child activities throughout the day. There is a barbecue but this needs to be replaced. I took my own and was glad I did. We would all stay at the Farmhouse again as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Old Mill House pub (which is within walking distance) provided excellent hospitality for an evening meal with a play area outside for small children.
