In the immediate vicinity of the property, the Château de Suscinio, built in the 13th century by the ocean, was during the Middle Ages one of the preferred residences of the Dukes of Brittany and their court. Recently renovated, it is one of the most visited monuments in Morbihan.

An integral part of the Gulf of Morbihan Natural Park, Sarzeau is the emblematic commune of the Rhuys Peninsula. With over 65 km of coastline, it is one of the communes in Brittany with the longest coastline.
