The house has been modernized; the inside is comfortable and cozy. Fully furnished with amenities to make you feel right at home.

The house is conducive for groups of six, couples, and families with children over the age of ten. An advantage to this property is private parking in rear of home rather than having to park parallel on street. The home has a sophisticated decorative style, which we liked. Great library and art works.We liked the ease (walkability) of the location to everything and the free trolly.We picked this home for our trip itinerary was a historic trip to DC, Mt. Vernon because it was so close to everything in DC without having to be in DC.The owner provided a binder with great locations for eating, drinking and her experience and recommendations, which we used a lot.My favorite "quote" listed in the house, of which there are many: "Thank vacations, go as many places as you can, you can always make more money, you can't always make memories." Yes, of course.I highly recommend this property, gets a 99 out of 100, and we are pretty picky travelers.

The property was a very lovely old historic home and well maintained. It was easy walking to the Alexandria waterfront, as well as many places nearby for dining. And off street parking was a bonus! My family enjoyed it very much!
