A spacious home full of charm, just a few minutes from Viana do Castelo and around 500 metres from the sea. Its generous interiors, distinctive furnishings and classic feel give it a unique personality. Outside, a lovely garden offers space for outdoor dining and relaxation, along with a small swimming pool, perfect for summer days. The house lies on the Portuguese Coastal Camino, beside a cycle path ideal for exploring miles of coastline and beaches.
Set over two floors, the house offers spacious rooms and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms: a suite with a private bathroom and balcony, plus two further bedrooms that share a second bathroom.
On the ground floor, the living room with a fireplace is a welcoming place to unwind with family or friends, while the dining room provides a comfortable setting for meals. The fully equipped kitchen opens directly onto a terrace where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner outdoors. There is also a guest toilet on this floor.
Outside, guests have their own garden area, a pergola with space for dining and relaxing, a barbecue and a small swimming pool, making this a particularly pleasant place to enjoy warmer days.
Casas da Roteia comprises two independent houses on the same property, which covers approximately 2,000 m². Each house has its own clearly defined outdoor area, although there is no physical fence separating the gardens. You may therefore occasionally see guests staying in the other house, while each has its own distinct space to enjoy.

Superb house in a superb location, with all the amenities necessary, almost seeming we are at home. Carlos is a very nice host. For sure a place to return.

Location - although located very close to the shore, we still had to use car to get to the nearby beaches - a stroll takes a bit too long, especially before breakfast or during the midday heat. The supermarket is 10 minutes away by foot, or 2 minutes by car;
House - very nicely furnished, good kitchen, with a cosy garden;
Hosts are most friendly and helpful - we needed additional kitchen equipment for the birthday party and it was provided on first request without any problems.
The only problem we've had was with the noise level. The house stands on the main street and the traffic is pretty thick even in the night. Thus it takes a while to get accustomed to it. We haven't tried to close windows due to the high humidity, maybe it wouldn't have been an issue otherwise.
