This house is unique in Calheta, with full view of the marina, beach/sea and the villa. Typologically T1, it consists of a bedroom, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room, BBQ, terrace and private garden. Access to the common organic vegetable garden and viewpoint (private).
The space
Viewpoint HOUSE - Simply Amazing!
This house has a bedroom, two full bathrooms, kitchen and living room in open space. It also has a large terrace facing the marina, the beach and the village, with barbecue, storage room and private garden. It also has access to the common organic garden.
It is the Viewpoint itself (private). It is located right on the beach, the village and the Marina da Calheta. It is unique in the county with a full view to these three points of excellence, framed in a green area, with extreme tranquility and privacy.
Here we can feel all the elements of nature in its splendor; the sun, the sea breeze, the ripple and tumble of the sea, the restful flying of birds, the magical moonlight touching the ocean.
Practically stripped of enclosed areas, the house invites its occupants to direct contact with the surrounding environment, pleasure, rest and joy.
It has a barbecue area and small nooks, as well as an eco-hort where guests can can seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Here's everything, just nothing comparable.

Guest access
Guests have access to the swimming pool, the private garden and communal gardens, the communal organic garden and the private viewpoint.
They can harvest fruit, vegetables and aromatic herbs.
Other things to note
From this house, you can watch the sea and land birds, as well as sometimes dolphins and whales on the ocean.
Come with a spirit of discovery and an open heart to adventure. Madeira is just that - a pleasant adventure
Note: Not wheelchair accessible. Access is on foot via a path, and parking is available in a free public area.

A 5 star hotel this is not but a quaint and beautiful place to stay, with unbeatable views, it most certainty is. Nelson is absolutely second to none in the host stakes; a font of local information and recommendations for places to go, shop, eat like a local and enjoy every minute in Madeira.Calhetta is a great base to explore the island from. With a car, you can go anywhere; we went to Funchal and the main attractions there, up over the top of the island to the pools in Porto Moniz and intonthe interior to visitvthe Lavadas.If youre coming to Madeira you know (hopefully) that there's lots of walking and none of it is easy going. The slopes are steep and the steps go on and on so be prepared. For all that, and the 100 or so steps to and from your front door at Viewpoint House, this was an experience not to be missed.Thank you Nelson, for hosting us and your unquestionable generosity and kindness. You are truly one of a kind.
