À propos de cette location de vacances
Relax with the whole family at Woodland Cottage. Nothing beats the feeling of being on a quiet lake and watching the wildlife from your screened in back porch. Drink your morning coffee while watching the sunrise over the lake. Easy walk down to the water's edge to birdwatch, catch some fish, or just mentally unwind with the sounds of nature.
Two master bedrooms upstairs with full sized bathrooms and plenty of room. One bedroom has a king-sized bed with a tub/shower combo, the other has 4 twin beds with a shower. Main living level has a large living room, dining room, kitchen, and laundry room with washer and dryer. For those that like a little fun and competition there is also a rec room located downstairs with a ping-pong table.
Full length covered porches on both the front and back sides of the house make for fun gathering spots while enjoying the outdoors. There's even a fun tree swing for the kids in the backyard as well.
This is truly the epitome of a relaxing home on the lake. Ever see the movie "On Golden Pond"? Well this is it, only quieter and more peaceful. You would never guess that the best that Cullman has to offer, including shopping and restaurants, is only 10 minutes away by car.

Quick work trip through Cullman. The house was cozy and clean and the back porch swing was the best!

The home is beautiful, peaceful, and a great place to relax. We enjoyed our stay and made wonderful family memories, but several issues kept it from being a five-star experience. The downstairs bedroom, listed as the third bedroom, did not have adequate air conditioning and was too warm to use comfortably. The kitchen was missing several basic items, including enough cookware, serving utensils, a colander, and sufficient silverware for the number of guests. We also had problems with the lighting. One ceiling fan light had no bulbs, and the bedrooms were very dark because we didn't know the ceiling lights operated by remote until our last day. A simple instruction guide would have helped. We were disappointed with the lake access. The shoreline was overgrown, making it difficult to fish, and there was only enough room for one person. We were extremely disappointed there was no swimming in the lake - we did not know that either. The home could also use some routine maintenance, as several chairs had broken arms and there were a few other minor issues.Overall, we enjoyed our vacation and the home has a lot of potential. With a few repairs, better communication, and a better-stocked kitchen, this could easily be a five-star property.
