Escape the city for the weekend and stay in this entire, private home, located just minutes from Starved Rock State Park and tons of other fun outdoor activities!
This stylish and bright 3 bedroom, 1 ½ bath home has everything you need for your getaway! So, pack a weekender bag and head down to Starved Rock Country.
Relax in the platform beds with memory foam mattresses and crisp, white linens and feather duvets.
Get your chef on in the fully stocked kitchen with cookware and dinnerware for eight. All you need to bring is your imagination and a good bottle of wine.
The bathrooms are stocked with fresh towels and all the basic amenities- just pack a toothbrush.
This home is full of light, vibrant colors and designer touches.
If you have a dog, a pet fee is required: $25.00 / per stay. Maximum two dogs. NO CATS ARE ALLOWED. Simply let me know in your introductory email that you are bringing your dog and I will send the fee request. Thanks!
The home sleeps 8 guests.
The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. There are two upstairs bedrooms- one has a queen bed (and available twin air mattress for a child) and the other has two twin beds. There is also a full size sleeper sofa in the living room downstairs.
(Major Holiday Weekends can only be booked for a minimum of Friday-Monday.)

Walk to the Twisty Freeze and the park just 2 blocks away.
STARVED ROCK STATE PARK is only 10 minutes away (The Lodge is a stand-out and the entertainment on the patio / bar is fantastic.)

Property is very clean and comfortable. Starved rock is only a 20 minute drive away and 5 minutes away from an Aldi’s. The host had very clear instructions in their binder and good suggestions for activities in town. The vinyl record player was a nice touch.

Especially appreciated the quiet well-kept neighborhood and how this house has been well maintained while preserving the original features. Kitchen is well equipped and has new appliances. The beds were very comfortable with top-of-the-line linens. My daughter wanted to take the living room sofa home with us. Elaine is obviously an experienced and accomplished host. I appreciated her tolerance and accommodation when I caused confusion by giving her a non-working phone number. I had planned to visit some historical sites but learned that most of them are closed on Tuesdays. Next time I will try to do better with my homework. There is a lot of interesting history to explore in the area.
