Dating back to 1500, the villa has benefitted from a complete renovation and bedrooms are furnished with impeccable taste featuring 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. With rooms distributed in multiple suites on all three floors plus an hayloft featuring air-conditioning, lovely views and and gentle bathrooms, VILLA MEDEA is ideal for large family reunions or destination wedding guests.
Set in a panoramic terraced garden filled with ancient cypresses, oaks and olive groves, the villa features large swimming pool with classy sun loungers, At the bottom area of the pool, there are three cabins equipped with a toilet, changing room, and shower. The large private pool measures 14x6 metres and has a gazebo with a dining and living area.
VILLA MEDEA is an extraordinary, historic Tuscan farmhouse villa situated in the countryside just outside LUCCA, about 6 kilometres from the city centre and its Walls. This villa is better in person than any of the pictures that are on the website. The grounds are huge and beautifully kept up. The villa itself is huge and so nicely appointed. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. There is air conditioning, which was so needed, as we were there when it was 100 degrees! The kitchen is fully stocked if your group wants to cook. There are three refrigerators, which is great for a large group. The dining room is gorgeous and Chef Alice and her daughter came to cook for us one night, which I highly recommend. The living area is very large and very nicely appointed. The bedrooms are large and the linens are very high quality. The outside spaces are amazing. We would have our coffee and breakfast at the outside dining table and wake up to a lovely view over the small village of Maggiano. Then we would go adventuring and come back and have cocktails outside the villa overlooking the grounds and pool. There is plenty of sitting areas, all with very comfortable seating. The pool area is amazing. The pool is huge, clean and very refreshing. Overall, this is an amazing villa that was everything our group could have wanted. The comment that we had when we left was "when can we come back"! Outstanding!

We had an absolutely incredible time in the villa. For my 30th birthday, we were 20 people exactly, and we had all the space we needed to create unforgettable memories. Giovanna and Johanna, who showed us around, were amazing—always there if we had a question. The house had this special magic, and we truly had a unique time that will stay with us forever. Thank you so much for everything!

I led a group of 20 adults for a week in mid-September. The main house has some lovely large ensuite bedrooms, and is well located near Lucca. It's a 7 minute drive to the nearest grocery store). The grounds are nice, with nearly enough space for our 20 guests to sit around the inside and outside tables, but it was very tight. The unheated pool is stained green around the edges and looks dirty, but was usable, though chilly. It does technically have 10 bedrooms and bathrooms, but one bedroom is a child's room (2 twin beds) without an ensuite (there is a bathroom down the stairs), the main floor bedroom has an unappealing tiny bathroom out in the hall, and two of the smaller ensuite rooms were out in a cottage at the other end of the property. So 10 couples were not able to be equally accommodated. The kitchen equipment was lacking: of the three small drip coffee makers only one worked, no cork screw or cocktail shaker, only a couple towels and cloths. There were only enough supplies for the first day (we had to buy garbage bags, dishwasher and laundry soap, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. on the 2nd day), so be sure to have a car to run into town. The place is also difficult to find, as the address provided does not correspond to the address on the house, and there are four possible entry points. Both Amazon and food deliveries were returned because the delivery people could not figure out where to drop the items. The wi-fi cut out several times. Pretty good but not great.

The property was not only as advertised but even more lovely in person. It was well equipped across the board to accommodate a group of our size. Rooms were well appointed, check in and out was very smooth. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this property.
