Perfect location in this vibrant town! Tourists were stopping to take pictures of this historical home with its beautiful roses. We were right in the center of everything. Market days are busy and fun and restaurants are short walks in every direction. The kitchen is very well equipped. We purchased fresh fish and vegetables at the Wednesday market to cook in. Once you're accustomed to the area, the parking is not an issue. We found a space in the free lot next to the park every night, but one, due to a holiday event at the park. That night, we parked in a metered space at the top on the hill with no problem. Metered parking is free at night and inexpensive during the day. We loved this home in Sarlat and all of the Dordogne region. There's a lot to do in town and area for adults and children. We will return...maybe with grand kids.

We had a wonderful stay at La Maison Escande! The most beautiful location, both within the town and the region. The home was quite spacious and had everything we needed. Easy to walk anywhere within the city, highly recommend the Wednesday market! Will definitely recommend this home to others visiting the area.

We spent just about 11 days at this property and it definitely exceeded our expectations, the convenience to the town of Sarlat made it easy to explore… close to shops and restaurants-and too do sightseeing day trips, the house is decorated nicely and very comfortable. The kitchen is supplied perfectly for the days you feel like cooking in. It was just the two of us, Another couple is doable or a small family, More than that might be a bit tight… if you have your own vehicle, there is free parking just a short distance away across from the park.
