Our stay was fantastic. The deck/dock had plenty of room for all our activities. So many things to do at the house. The kids loved the paddle boards and peddle boat. The house had everything we needed and then some for the week. There was a welcome basket with materials for s’mores and a binder filled with all the local information on the table upon arrival. There was great communication with the owner during our stay. We had so much fun fishing, lounging in the water, having fires in the fire pit and relaxing in the hot tub. Most of our drive home was spent talking about our favorite memories and that we would have to visit again!!

This place hits a lot of check boxes when it comes to a great family vacation. Great communication with the host, well stocked with every day items (kitchen utensils, toiletries, beach towels, life jackets, etc), easy access to the water with water depth being shallow enough for younger kids, a lot of things to do within a very short walking distance and space. The host also provided a starter amount of wood and s’mores. Advice for future occupants would be bring an artillery of bug killing devices. We were not expecting the swarm of bugs and very large spiders. After the first night we ended up using several different bug traps, fogging everyday and running a fire from 5pm on. The lake itself is a great size and I was pleasantly surprised how empty it was for a holiday weekend. The beach and Buddy’s restaurant are a 2 min walk from the property. The beach sand is raked daily which keeps it soft. Buddy’s has good food and decent prices. The hot tub is a nice bonus although only half of the jets work. The neighbors to the right are very close and they have a tendency to share the water space. The only disappointment would have been the boat rental. Wayne had fairly good communication and it was a nice boat but it was delayed because of malfunctions with the boat itself. We got it a day late and then we took it back early because of the same problems. Wayne was willing to negotiate cost but still disappointed.

Great property. We were there just for a weekend bike race in Hastings, but believe it would also be a fantastic summer getaway at the lake. House was clean and well furnished. Owners provided lots of little touches, showing their passion for their property and their guests. Would recommend.

Our summer visit was so nice we came back for Christmas with family! Everyone enjoyed the location, the hot tub, and the cottage. It is hard to find a house that accomodates a group in all rooms. The dining area seated all of us as did the spacious living area.The best surprise...all the water fowl on the lake! So beautiful!
