Welcome to Dawn’s Cottage! An adorable and comfortable cottage just steps from the beach. This two-bed, two-bath, free-standing home in a private setting sleeps 6 and is your perfect getaway for peace and relaxation. Dawn's Cottage is located on popular Broadkill Beach - a charming place to relax, unwind, and renew. The space is simple and serene, yet has everything one needs.
The Space:
Dawn's Cottage is located on the south side of Broadkill Beach, about 20 minutes from Lewes, DE. The cottage boasts an open living concept and is filled with lots of natural light from the large front windows. Located in the living room is a queen-size sleeper sofa. There is a smart TV that provides live streaming from Fubo (feel free to log into your own apps as well). There is a full-size, fully equipped kitchen with many amenities to enjoy a home-cooked meal.
The hall bath features a shower/tub combo with hand towels included. The master bath features a stall shower and also includes hand towels. It is located inside the master bedroom to provide additional privacy. The master bedroom also features a walk-in closet with a dresser and extra blankets/pillows.
The outdoor ground space features two ceiling fans and a picnic table that seats 6, that makes a perfect entertainment space.
Guest Access:
The properties use key-code electronic locks. You will be sent the code about 3 days before check-in. This code is only valid from check-in to check-out.

- Sheets and Towels are NOT provided
- The state of Delaware has issued a statewide plastic bag ban. Retail stores no longer offer plastic bags at checkout. Please ensure you bring a bag, should you need one.

I have taken my summer family vacations in the Rehoboth area for the past several years and this year we wanted something quieter and more relaxed than the busy boardwalk area while still being on the beach. This cute sea side house was right across from Broadkill beach and it was absolutely a dream stay. We spent every day down on Broadkill with our two Pomeranians. There were less than 15 other people on the whole beach so we basically had it to ourselves which was crazy considering it was the 4th of July week! The house had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a beautiful large living area with pull out sofa and a big deck. The best part was the outdoor shower which made cleaning up after the beach very easy. Restaurants, Lewes and Rehoboth beach were an easy drive so we were able to enjoy our favorite spots while still having a calm quiet place to stay and rest.
Other important points: the host was extremely responsive, kind and helpful. Everything was clean and welcoming with every amenity you could need for a family or couple. The beach was clean and quiet and also more wild than others in the area so we got to have tons of fun spotting crabs, birds, turtles and playing with the dogs. Some reviews of Broadkill mention bugs can pop up but we brought some bug spray and had zero issues.
The whole family loved our trip and if I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Great location and property! Very central location providing easy access to a quiet beach within a 2min walk, or you can use this spot as your launch point to check out Lewes or Rehoboth. Everything was clean, organized and comfortable making the stay very enjoyable. And if you bring your dog, you'll enjoy walking up and down the quiet street to get awesome views of the beach and nature preserve!

This was a clean and beautiful pet friendly place. Our hosts left us a sweet welcoming gift. It checked all of our boxes for a place to stay with our dog. Thank you!

The house was very nice, however The location is not the best. The beach is very isolated and has a lot of dead Horseshoe Crabs. There was a 25 to half an hour drive to a market and or entertainment. The location is very inconvenient to someone with a small child not to mention the smell of the beach. Or marsh
