Escape to our cozy 1-bedroom, 1-bath retreat in Sagle, Idaho—just 150 feet from the shores of Lake Pend Oreille. Perfectly blending comfort, convenience, and the natural beauty of North Idaho, this guest suite is designed for travelers seeking a peaceful getaway with easy access to both relaxation and adventure.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be surrounded by the sights and sounds that make this region so special. The sparkling waters of Lake Pend Oreille, the backdrop of Gold Mountain, and the quiet residential setting create a unique escape that feels far from the hustle of daily life—yet remains close to Sandpoint, Schweitzer Mountain, and Silverwood Theme Park. Whether you’re here to enjoy a summer on the water or a winter retreat in the mountains, our space offers the ideal year-round base for your travels.
The Space
Our guest suite is attached to our family home and thoughtfully designed for comfort and function. Inside you’ll find:
A full kitchen stocked with everything you need to prepare meals, from morning coffee to lakeside dinners.
In-unit laundry, making it easy to freshen up during longer stays.
Reliable Wi-Fi, so you can stay connected or stream your favorite shows after a day outdoors.
A cozy bedroom and living space, perfect for couples, solo travelers, or small families seeking a restful retreat.
The suite provides privacy while still offering shared access to some of the best features of our property, including the backyard, dock, and beach area. In the warmer months, bring your boat, paddleboards, or fishing poles and enjoy direct water access.
Guest Access
Guests share the driveway, yard, dock, and playground with our family. Parking is simple—you’ll see a white and black “Guest Parking” sign on the left side of the driveway. To access the suite, follow the path under the porch, just past the garage door. We’ve designed the entry to be straightforward so your arrival is as stress-free as possible.
The Neighborhood
Our lakefront neighborhood is one of Sagle’s hidden gems. Quiet streets make it ideal for walking or biking, and the views are stunning—lake vistas in the back, Gold Mountain in the front. Sandpoint is just a 5-minute drive away, or for the more adventurous, a 15–20 minute bike ride over the scenic Long Bridge. Schweitzer Mountain is only 30 minutes by car, offering world-class skiing in winter and hiking in summer. Families love visiting Silverwood Theme Park, which is about 35 minutes away.
Seasonal Notes
Lake Pend Oreille is truly magical, but its water levels do drop in October and return to full pool in late May. This means the inlet behind our property can be quite shallow during fall and winter. Don’t worry—there’s still plenty to enjoy, from snow-covered mountain adventures to cozy nights in the suite.
Interaction with Guests
Because the suite is part of our home, you may see us or our two kids enjoying the yard. Our children love meeting new people, and the shared spaces like the beach, playground, and dock make it easy to connect. That said, we fully respect your privacy and allow you to decide the level of interaction.
Please note: trains do run through the Sandpoint area, a historic part of life here since the late 1800s, so you may occasionally hear one pass by.

What an incredible hidden gem. It was exactly what my wife and I needed—a peaceful relaxing get away! Exceptional hosts who have created such a warm, welcoming and cozy space, this just isn’t a rental. The kitchen is amazing loaddd with everything you need to perp and cook meals. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home.We were able to dock our boat for the week at there dock, that was just a quick walk from the door and short boat ride out to the lake. I caught a few pike and bass off it aswell! We can't thank them enough for their hospitality and for making our stay so memorable. We highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back!

Everything was very clean and comfortable. They had extra things like snacks, coffee, creamer, umbrellas, and a basket with items in case you forgot something. There were even fresh picked flowers in a vase when we arrived. It was a beautiful property. They even had heated bathroom floors. The owners were super kind and welcomed our grandchildren there to fish in the river, jump on their trampoline and play with the sports toys. It was great!!

The house and neighborhood were beautiful. The little touches mean a lot. The host and his family were warm and always making sure we had everything we needed. One day while we were out, when we came back, they put fresh flowers on the porch. I highly recommend Baby Birch and we will return.
