Casa Linda Vista is tucked into beautiful wooded surroundings offering seclusion with spacious, clean accommodations set back a few hundred yards off the northwest end of Playa Grande. The 3 acre property borders the Las Baulas National Park and the excellent surf breaks at Playa Grande a short few minutes walk away.
Casa Linda Vista is ideal for those seeking tranquility, comfort and easy access to a wide variety of leisure activities. You can choose to prepare meals at home or dine in more than a dozen local restaurants.
Connect with nature! Monkeys, iguanas, birds, cool breezes and pretty views. It is private, quite and secure. It is only seconds to the beach, restaurants, small market and the laid back village of Playa Grande. We are very close to everything. The houses are affordable, fully equipped, clean and comfortable. It's truly a peaceful getaway at Casa and Casitas Linda Vista.
CASA LINDA VISTA: The main house, which is the largest of 3 fully equipped houses, is a 2 story, 2 bedroom with panoramic ocean and mountain views that is perfect for small and large families or groups. Native woods and volcanic rock have been used throughout the house. There are 2 tiled bathrooms and a large, fully equipped kitchen. Wrap around screened windows bring in the cool breezes and give the feeling of sleeping in the treetops. Relax on the balcony and watch the sunset into the Pacific Ocean. The large Casa Linda Vista will sleep from 2 up to 8 people .
This site features the main house, Casa Linda Vista, only.. But, we also offer two additional different size, fully equipped smaller houses located on the same 3 acre estate property. Casa Linda Vista Property can accommodate from 2 to 15 people Rent them separately or all together. . . . .

Host was great. Absence of AC may be a problem when travelling with kids. Kitchen amenities are restricted. Impressive effort for the landscaping, walking distance to the beach. Overall a simple but spacious villa.

This was a great place for a family of 5 to stay, I would stay here again. Lots of howler monkeys! It does not have AC so it can be a bit hot in the afternoon, cools down at night pretty well though! For clarity the bedrooms upstairs are as follows, there is a master bedroom with 1 queen bed, the other bedroom is larger with 2 beds in it (queen size I think) and walk out balcony. Both bedrooms upstairs connect to the shared bathroom with tile walk in shower. Main floor is as shown in photos with a bathroom and shower just inside the front door. Outdoor shower as well to rinse off after the beach! The property was very well kept and Kai was very helpful. Easy walk to the beach and you can also walk to Playa Ventanas and Playa Carbon. I would recommend staying here and in Playa Grande vs. Tamarindo if you prefer a much more relaxed vibe. Be careful of rip currents when swimming.

Our stay was awesome with Kai at Casa Linda Vista. First off, his property is privately gated at all times (besides when you show up for the first time). The property is way bigger in person. So many other properties in the area are tight and difficult to get in and out. The house is open with windows and screens surrounding. As you have read, there is no a/c. My family are kind of babies (2 adults, 15 and 17 year old girls) and I'm not going to lie, it got pretty warm during the day and into the evenings. It would cool down nicely and made great sleeping weather. Need to manage shades and breeze accordingly. Tons of wildlife right on the property, monkeys every day hanging out in the trees, iguanas, and a variety of birds. I timed the walk to the beach, 7 minutes there, and a bit longer on the way back as you are tired from hanging out in the ocean all day. Kai was an awesome host and lives on the property. Always wanted to make sure you were having a good time and felt taken care of. He set us up with a ride into Tamarindo for a very fair rate from a nice driver. The only other downside I could think of is that the showers had very low water pressure. Down stairs shower, don't bother unless you're bald. Upstairs shower was better but took the ladies some time to fully clean and rinse their hair. Pro tip. Use the outside shower, great pressure and a great way to keep the sand out of the house. All in all we loved our stay and would highly recommend.Thank you Kai!

All good except there is no air conditioning... in 90 degree weather fans didn't help much.Lovely house otherwise... know the stairs are steep to get to the bedrooms.
