We stayed at the end of June 2026, and I would stay again. The house was clean and very functional for our family (five of us). Unlike other reviews, we found plenty of linens, blankets, and such. The air conditioning worked well even upstairs mostly. The showers respond to other water use in the house, so a shower would suddenly go ice cold and then really hot at times, but we learned to deal with that. The kitchen was outfited reasonabley well for a short-term rental. Once I figured out the induction range (well after finding the manuel under things in a drawer) cooking was fine. There were a couple of skillets that would not work with the induction range which made figuring it out take longer. The mattresses and pillows were good, but two of the rooms had beds that were practically on the floor, so if you have trouble getting up from low furniture, be warned. However, the funiture in the living room has been updated since the photos and that was a nice suprise. The couch is much nicer and the TV is huge! The outside space is right on the lake which was lovely to sit by especially early and late in the day. There are several spaces for this. As with other reviewer, the landscaping is in need of some love. It could be beautiful. Overall, I'd recommend this home, but knowing the quirks ahead always helps.

This was a lovely lake front property that was perfect for our 6 person family. It was quiet location that offered lots of opportunities for wildlife watching. The kitchen was well stocked and suited our needs.

Positives: Location. Space - 4 bedrooms, 3 baths. Outdoor seating area - great sunrise. Internet/Wifi. Water pressure. The sunrise was spectacular. Less that one hour drive to the DTW airport, fishing charter, a little longer to Ann Arbor. Negatives: Needs some TLC. The gardens are overgrown and full of spiders. Not fun running through spiderwebs every day. The place could use a good gardner, a powerwash and debugging inside and out. Random assortment of pots and pans. Some were not convection compatible.With a little clean up, we would definitely stay here again.
