À propos de cette location de vacances

Turning Point on the Little Magothy is a wonderful and private Estate that sleeps 18 comfortably!

Turning Point on the Little Magothy is a hidden gem located just 7 miles from historic Annapolis in the quaint community of Cape St. Claire. New to the HomeAway scene, this home is a waterfront oasis nestled on the Little Magothy River just off the Broadneck Peninsula. This area of Annapolis is a vibrant and historically significant area that offers a wonderful mix of Chesapeake history, arts, culture, dining, and entertainment, making it a unique and lively extension of the city.

Situated just a short drive from the heart of downtown Annapolis, Turning Point on the Little Magothy is a home away from home. Located on almost an acre of land, enter onto the half-moon driveway and into your own private hidden oasis. Enjoy your morning coffee, afternoon tea or a glass of wine in any number of areas on the property upon returning from your daily ventures in Annapolis and surrounding areas. Enjoy the expansive views of the waterfront, take a dip in your own private salt-water pool, play a quick game of basketball, hang out in the beautiful pool house, relax in the all glass sunroom with heated floors or get back to your childhood roots and climb the ladder to the fabulous tree house overlooking the Little Magothy.

Enter into a Zen oasis as you open the front door and take in the serene and calm tones of the decor and the breathtaking view of the water on display. This family friendly home boasts an open floor plan and a fully equipped chef’s kitchen, all of which has been completely redesigned and renovated between October of 2023 and February of 2024. Bring your own boat or kayaks to enjoy the waters of the Little Magothy from your own private pier. Note that the owner retains the right to use the slips if slips are available; The pier can fit four boats comfortably, depending on the size of the boats. For planning purposes, MLW is approximately 3 feet. Private fishing and crabbing trips can be arranged with various local charters. This home also includes off street parking for up to ten plus cars, a pickle ball court, a basketball court, a lovely private salt water pool and pool house (this pool house is a separate structure with it's own King pullout sofa / mini split unit / TV / and outdoor bathroom), a private pier, a tree house…the list goes on and on……

We were a large party - grandparents, 3 grown children with spouses, and 8 grandchildren ranging in ages 3-19. There were plenty of spaces available to eat, sleep, play, and just hang out! The venue was beautiful and well appointed. The pool was used daily and the pier provided a place to fish, crab, and moor the 19’ Carolina skiff our son-in-law brought.(Note that there is not a public boat ramp close by. He put in at Sandy Point State Park and motored to the rental pier.) There was adequate parking for our 5 vehicles as well as the boat trailer. The kids were excited to climb up to the treehouse, and it was nice to discover that there was wire netting around the spiral stairway. We also enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards that were provided. The only cons were that the plug for the treadmill couldn't be found so it was inoperable, and the lower level rooms were cold. And we believe that it should be mentioned in the bedroom descriptions that one of the king size beds is a pullout couch located in the pool house, where the accompanying bathroom/sink is located just outside. This was not a problem for two teenagers - who enjoyed their privacy, and didn't mind an outdoor shower - but might be for others. Altogether a lovely rental and we had a thoroughly wonderful time! All agreed that we want to come back.

I'm a frequent VRBO user. Before arrival date, I get an email with entrance codes. The night before we left, I hadn't heard anything and left a message on the site. Nothing. Only when I texted the host did I get the info. The reason given was they were waiting to be sure the cleaning was done. Warning - the sixth bedroom is in a separate building, only has a pullout sofa bed and has a bathroom outside. This info is not in the listing. When we got there, a smoke detector was beeping. The host said nobody could come until the next day, even though it was 3 in the afternoon. Oh, and there might be a stepladder in the laundry room, nope. Those things beep until fixed, so basically they said fix it yourself or have constant beeping all night. Changing all the batteries in the spring should be mandatory for rental houses. Noise warning for two separate things - there is a constant intermittent noise from the water heater in the closet of the master bath. It sounds like an alarm and can also be heard on the floor above. Finally, renters should know that there is a house being built right next door. With all the outside activities the house offers, this is a major issue. The sound of trucks backing up and pounding while playing pickle ball or sitting outside is beyond annoying. Be forewarned if you're renting this summer. They also declined to offer a discount while the construction is happening, claiming they have no control. So be aware.
