This beautiful and quiet 4-room apartment is located at the end of a private road on the lower floor of a two-family home, situated slightly above Lake Lugano. The apartment faces south and features a large terrace with a view of the lake and Italy.
Swimming in the lake is a 5-minute walk away. A grotto is a 5-minute walk away.
Parking is available right next to the house.
The apartment consists of a living room with an open kitchen, a dining room, 2 bedrooms—one with a double bed (160x200) and the other with 2 single beds (90x200)—2 bathrooms, each with a shower, and a recreation room with 2 pieces of fitness equipment (treadmill and exercise bike).
The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary dishes, silverware, and pans. It features a glass-ceramic stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, and coffee maker (Nespresso).
The living room has a smart TV, and free Wi-Fi is available.
A travel crib (for children up to 2 years old) is also available upon request.
Non-smoking apartment.
The large terrace is accessible directly from all rooms. There is a large dining table with chairs, plus additional comfortable chairs, 2 lounge chairs, and a wooden daybed. A grill (charcoal/wood) is also available.
Bedding, bath towels, and dish towels are included
Parking is available directly in front of the house
Note: The apartment is accessible via an outdoor staircase (75 cm wide with 6 steps, or 100 cm wide with 14 steps)
In addition to many grotti, Caslano also has a lido and a mini-golf course (or a golf course in neighboring Magliaso).
Also worth mentioning are the Alprose chocolate factory and the Fishing Museum.
Worthwhile nearby excursions include Swissminiatur in Melide, the Mercato Ponte Tresa (IT), the Mercato Luino (IT), the Foxtown Outlet in Mendrisio, or the Adventure Park on Monte Tamaro.
All the major lakes are nearby: Lake Lugano, Lake Como, and Lake Maggiore
The Alto Malcantone region, as well as the mountains Monte Lema, Monte Tamaro, San Salvatore, Monte Generoso, and Monte Bré, are ideal for hiking.

The view and the residence are worth the steps down to your own private flat with a beautiful balcony. Truly loved the quiet seclusion from the Lake Lugano touristy hangouts we’ve been staying in lately. Sadly we could not partake of the pool one level below, but perhaps we will have the opportunity to visit during the summer months. The terrace is wonderfully large filled with beautiful flowers, plenty of seating, optional large awning for shade, a fire pit we sadly did not get to use, etc. There is a dated feel to the apartment which works for those that want that Italian feel. We really loved the electric “Rolladen”, the rolling shutters that provide extra security and privacy. There is a beautiful walk to be had with easy access down the stairs, otherwise there is a treadmill and stationary bicycle with an impressive view to exercise from. The kitchen has all the basics but there was no access to the freezer. However when a member of our party was injured, likety split we were provided ice packs and a hospital recommendation, saving us an unnecessary visit to the local clinic. The doctor at home was very impressed with the treatment provided. A final note that agrees with all the other reviews. The cleanliness was a step above. We hope to visit again soon.
