The surrounding area is perfect year-round for biking, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, surfing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), sailing, ski touring, downhill skiing, fishing, and much more—or simply for enjoying yourself and taking it easy. In the nearby towns of Bad Endorf, Prien, and Bernau, you’ll find swimming pools, indoor climbing gyms, and plenty of shopping options, among other things. Many items can be rented right in town (surfboards, SUPs, bikes, e-bikes). Salzburg is 78 km away, and Munich is 96 km away; both Salzburg and Munich have airports.
